Aubrey Peeples

Aubrey Peeples, an American singer and actress. Most famously, she is known for her performance as Layla Grant, in Nashville (2012) drama and Claudia Shepard from Sharknado (2013). In 2015, she played the character of Jerrica Jem in the movie Jem and the Holograms. Aubrey Peeples was raised in Lake Mary, Florida by the mother and father Wendy and Ashley. Her younger sister is Ally. Aubrey worked with Orlando Repertory Theatre ten years throughout her childhood. Aubrey is a graduate of Lake Mary Preparatory School and was awarded valedictory honors for students of the 2012 class after she graduated. Harvard University admitted her, but she had to agree for her admission a second time due to her Nashville performance. Peeples guest-starred in Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) and also had an recurring role on Necessary Roughness (1991). She was in the made-for television movies Ace Ventura Jr.: Pet Detective (2009) and The Good Mother. The latter was her most prominent part in the role of Layla Grant on the Nashville Drama in the second season. Peeples revealed that she has bipolar disorder during an interview in 2019 with NKD Magazine. Indiewire identified Peeples among the top performers under the age of twenty aged in September 2014.
